In this second book of the Fantastic Fieldtrips Series, the children are still excited from their first trip in the the MITAS, a time-travel machine invented by their own Professor Alexander, and they can’t wait to find out when their next field trip will be.
But when little Kallista is teased for being afraid, the professor decides it’s time to teach the children a lesson. He takes the children on a field trip into the past to witness how David, who killed the giant Goliath, became so brave. Through their adventure, the children learn that courage is something that has to be practiced in order to get better at it.
This is a wonderful adventure story that any child would enjoy, full of insightful lessons and wonderful, biblical morals to set kids off on the right foot. It inspires kids to treat others with kindness, while at the same time, helping them to envision events in the bible that actually took place. I would recommend this book for anyone with a child who is hungry for a good adventure!
