A Young Person's Guide to Christianityebq4st

A great book to introduce kids to the basic tenets of Christianity

In this short (54p) but concise guide, author R. Douglas Wardrop brings young readers through the core foundations of the Christian faith, exploring topics such as:

  • The Holy Trinity
  • Salvation through Christ Alone
  • Biblical Inerrancy
  • The Virgin Birth of Christ
  • The Second Coming of Christ

as well as addressing many common questions that young believers may have, like:

  • What does the Bible teach?
  • Why should I care what the Bible teaches?
  • How can we know that God exists?
  • Is the Bible accurate and true?
  • Is there an actual place called hell?
  • Where is heaven?
  • How do you get to heaven?

This is a fantastic little book for young people who are curious about becoming a Christian, or who are just beginning their walk with Christ. Wardrop covers all the bases and makes a Biblically sound presentation of what Christianity is all about. Written in simple terms, with a short section of word definitions in the beginning, this book is a wonderful tool for ensuring that young believers start off on the right food, with a solid understanding of Christian doctrine. My favorite sections of the book were the final chapters discussing the greatness of God, God’s promises to you, a definition of salvation, and beginning your Christian life (very important, and well written in my opinion), which also includes the prayer of salvation. A great read, highly recommended!
